紀州鐵道
紀伊電鐵都是單節車廂很可愛
和歌山最早確定的造訪地點是「道成寺」－這個在能劇與歌舞伎裡常出現的舞台－清姬與安珍故事發生的地點。但只去道成寺似乎單調了點，剛好在翻找旅遊資料時無意發現從JR御坊站到西御坊站這短短的2.7公里是日本第二短的鐵道，於是這裡就順理成章的成了和歌山的第二個行程。
窗外是野草遍地，有些荒涼，給人寂寞的感覺
從道成寺回到JR御坊站，原本還打算問站員怎麼搭「紀州鐵道」的電車怎麼搭－因為小小車站裡只有兩個月台，卻怎麼也沒看到紀州鐵道路線上的站名，結果一轉頭在月台的角落竟發現靜靜停靠準備行駛的電車。
這是紀伊鐵道的末站 ：西御坊站
原來紀州鐵道算是地方支線，他有個特別座－零號月台，跟emma以前去過的境港線是一樣的。紀州鐵道原本是御坊的臨港鐵道，昭和三年（1928年）開始通車到現在已經超過八十年了。紀州鐵道一共有五站：JR御坊站→學門→紀伊御坊站→市役所前站→西御坊站。最早還有日出紡績前站與日高川站，可惜這兩站廢站了，不然一路坐下去就可以看到太平洋了。

在台灣很少坐火車的我到了日本卻變成了日人口中的鐵女，原因無他，只因日本的鐵道太發達、太便利、太有趣也太多樣。像紀州鐵道這樣小巧而無特色的鐵道，即使一路都是無人車站也依然盡力維持真的很難得，尤其可愛的是鐵道公司還會找出讓你想來搭車的各式原因，比方說他會宣傳這是『日本第二短的鐵道』，或是在「學門」站設立一個學門地藏吸引學生來這裡參拜，這都是旅行的小發現，也是最有趣的地方了。
