潭柘寺

潭柘寺因其寺後有龍潭，山上有柘樹，故而民間一直稱其為“潭柘寺”。寺廟依山而建，坐北朝南，周圍有九座高大的山峰，宛如在九條巨龍的擁立之下。寺內殿宇巍峨，古樹參天，佛塔林立。兩株被清乾隆帝封為“帝王樹”的銀杏粗壯挺拔，一株來自於唐代，另一株來自於遼代，現如今他們依舊郁郁蔥蔥，資料顯示他們的綠冠高30多米，樹幹周長9米。秋天裏站在寺前，仰頭就是一片金黃，腳下也是一地黃金，帝王之氣絕非虛名。
關於潭柘寺有許多的傳說，其中就有“火燒潭柘寺，水淹北京城”和“先後潭柘寺，後有北京城”，說的是早年京津地區有一條作惡多端的惡龍，劉伯溫把這條惡龍鎮壓在北新橋下，並用一根箭做梁修建了潭柘寺，箭頭直指惡龍的咽喉，這才使得人民得以在此地繁衍生息。所以後來建皇宮讲究要比潭柘寺的大梁低一寸以避諱此箭。
千百年來，潭柘寺歷經滄海桑田，曾經盛極一時，歷代多個皇帝都先後到潭柘寺來進香禮佛，卻也曾一度慘遭荒廢。寺院佛宗也在不同時期經歷了華嚴宗律宗和禪宗，盡管如此，其優良的傳統和深厚的底蘊卻一直堅持著，寺院高僧輩出，其中就包括華嚴祖師，廣慧通理禪師，達觀真可大師，震寰律師等大師。
你我皆凡人，即便不修行，心懷真誠，秋日裏到潭柘寺上柱香，登上後山，極目遠眺，層林盡染，身也輕心也凈了。
